Solar Art Prize goes online!
The 11th SOLAR ART PRIZE will still be going ahead but due to Convid-19 there will be some changes.
Entries, due by April 6th, should be sent to PO Box 721 North Adelaide 5006 with an A4 photo, entry form and fee but in addition a jpeg (1-5MB) image of the work needs to be sent to solarartprize@gmail.com
The RSASA gallery will not be open, so the work will be selected and judged from the photos and shown on line.
PRIZES WILL BE ALLOCATED THIS YEAR. Work which does not win prizes can be resubmitted next year (at a discount).
Feel free to email Pip Fletcher at solarartprize@gmail.com if you have further queries.
11th Solar Art Prize announced – and there are changes!
Yes, it is still our beloved Solar Art Prize where South Australian artists win thousands of dollars of solar products for themselves, their family or their friends.
As usual, three respected judges will judge the art from photographs to decide which artworks will be hung in the gallery. And as usual, they will meet again to decide prize winners when these artworks are delivered.
A change has been made to the sections: landscapes and seascapes are now in with wild or endangered fauna or flora. A new section has been created: Caricatures!
And a new prize has been added: all winners will receive $200 Metrocards to help them take climate-change-reducing travel.
Tell your social circle about this major art prize to show what people in South Australia are doing to promote climate change awareness.
